amazing flowers!

Last spring, my good friend Susan gave me a cutting from her prized lipstick plant. It has been slow to root but it hasn't died. Low-and-behold, it bloomed while still in water. This is the most amazing flower I've seen on an indoor plant. Indoor-to-me, that is. The three blooms lasted about a week and simply dropped off without shriveling up. Okay... so I do keep my house on the cool side (~64 degrees), so maybe they were shocked into falling off. They were very nice while they lasted.
