holiday spirit

I had a very productive day! Since I'll be home for the holidays this year, I got excited and decided to put decorations up! Here is the Swedish Christmas tree, trimmed and ready to be admired.

For those of you unfamiliar with this holiday tree, there is a bluebird of happiness on the top (its kind of hard to see in the photo). The decorations are mostly traditional wheat and straw, and the others are homemade by Isaak. The yellow diamond shape in the center is his very first ornament, from kindergarten, I think. Someday he will inherit this lovely treasure.

Still deciding whether or not to do cards. In the meantime, Happy Holidays to everyone!
